What Materials We Accept
Corrugated Cardboard
Plastic #1 (often clear, P.E.T.E)
Plastic #2 (cloudy or white)
Hard Plastic (all others)
Soft Plastic (plastic bags, packaging, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, etc.)
* Put plastic bags into one larger plastic bag or inside other plastic containers so they don’t blow around *
Beverage Containers (plastic, tetrapak, aluminum, tin)
Tin Cans (clean please)
Paper (white, coloured, glossy, newsprint, boxboard)
Metal (scrap metal, white metals- large appliances)
Wood- no PWF (green), chipwood, pressboard or particle board
Organics (animal and vegetable waste, cat littler, dog waste, straw bedding, wood ash (including nails), contaminated paper that can’t be recycled (i.e. toilet paper, small yard waste)
Tires
Brush
Electronics (ewaste)
Household Hazardous Waste (oil, known (labelled) chemicals, paint, batteries (led/household), ink cartridges, smoke detectors, fluorescent light bulbs)
We do not accept
Construction waste
Mattresses
Vehicles
Glass
White Styrofoam
Other materials not listed- please take these to a landfill

What the Free Store Accepts
* Anything that can fit in your vehicle that is still usable or just needs minor repairs *
Clothes
Tools
Equipment
Books
Toys
Dishes
Household materials
Other items not listed (if stuff is broke, please indicate)
